Masood Azhar denies his illness reports, claim himself more fit than Modi

Lahore: Maulana Masood Azhar, Head of Jaish e Muhammad (JeM), Pakistani-based banned militant organization, has denied the reports about his illness, terming himself fit, challenging the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to compete with him in the physical and mental fitness test.

The militant organization claimed the responsibility of suicide attack on Indian security forces in Pulwama, Indian held Kashmir, on Feb 14, this year, killing more than 44 security personnel. Following the attack, the escalation has begun between the two neighboring countries and the region reach on the brink of war.

In retaliation, India attacked Pakistan dropping bombs in Balakot, district of Khyber Pakhtunkhuwa on Feb 26, 2019.

Pakistan captured the Indian fighter pilot Wing Commander Abhinandan on Feb 27, 2019. Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi admitted on the next, Feb 28, 2019, during an interview with CNN, that Masood Azhar is in Pakistan. He is very sick to that extent that he cannot leave his house.

However, JeM’s latest weekly magazine, Al-Qalam, issue number 11, 2019, released a different version, challenging the claim of Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi.

In the weekly magazine, Azhar, the founder of the banned militant organization – Jaish e Muhammad, writes a regular column for his followers under the pseudonym of Saadi. The topic of his current article duration from March 15 to March 21, 2019, is ‘Allah! Ahle Muhabbat Kay Name’,  (Allah! Dedicated for lovers). Al-Qalam magazine has been publishing for several years.

In the column, he mentioned that he is writing this piece on March 12, 2019. Following are the excerpts from his column:

“There are constantly false reports emerging and lies being spread that I am severely sick. Someone is reporting of kidney issue and someone is reporting the liver problem. These reports are causing disturbance among a few Muslims. I want to clarify them that I am absolutely fit.”

“My kidneys are working properly, so liver and heart. I never admitted to any hospital in the past 17 years. I have not visited to any doctor for the past several years. I am against of medical tests, that’s why I don’t conduct my medical tests. So far, I am not even suffering from diseases like sugar, blood pressure.”

“Following the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H.), I regularly get treatment of Hajama (cupping), consumes kalonji, honey and talbina. Similarly, I try to get spiritually medical treatment by reciting the first Surah and the last two Surahs of the Quran, having special effects on health.”

“I am not facing any kind of disability. When I get a chance, I do archery, following the Sunnah, and I try to do work by myself. So, there is no good news for Allah’s enemies.”

“Alhamdulillah! I am healthier than Narendra Modi. He can compete with me in chest length, mental test, eye-sight, archery and shooting. Insha Allah, he will be defeated but he is not a brave man.”
