TEETH WHITENING

If your smile is not at its best, you’re probably desperate for a way to help whiten teeth. Your teeth say a lot about you and if you don’t feel comfortable with them, you won’t be at your best. Fortunately, there are all sorts of solutions available for this problem. Unfortunately, with a large number of options, it can be hard to decide what’s best.
Before anything else, take a look at your teeth to see just how much they need to be whitened. If your problem is average, you can get away with the trays and strips on the market that are reasonably affordable. But if you have a lot to take care of, you’ll want to spend the money on dental veneers or bonding to actually address the problem.
Just how much more expensive are these options? The at-home treatments, which work well for most people, cost around $20 for $100. For those who have bigger issues, though, specialized treatments can cost anywhere from $400 to over $1000. Still, if you need them, you’ll find that you’re willing to spend whatever it costs.
With any product like this, there are going to be risks you’ll need to expect before you start using it. Typically, these include gum soreness and tooth sensitivity, which can be irritating but do not pose much of a threat. However, some higher end treatments could leave you with blistered lips and much other more significant problems.
Of course, the more you pay for a product, the better it’s going to be. This is true in many ways, such as in terms of how long it will take until your teeth look the way you want them to. If you are not going to your dentist’s office, you’ll probably have to wait one to three weeks to get what you want. Take a look at all your options before you buy.
People who are willing to pay for fast results will typically opt for in-office whitening procedures where in as little as an hour, teeth can be whitened up to give up to ten shades. You’ll have to work with other whitening tools to keep up these results and may sometimes even have to return to the dentist if discoloration returns.
If that’s too expensive for you, though, you can still get nearly as good results over time with at-home kits and strips. To know which are actually as effective as they say they are, get a recommendation from your dentist and then make sure you remember to keep using the product. You can get some results quickly, but most take time.
The cheapest option is a tooth whitening toothpaste. But if you’re looking to actually whiten your teeth, you probably won’t achieve that goal using this alone. However, to stretch your money, you can use it with or after another option, to make sure the results you get last and that you always have that nice, sparkling white smile.
No matter what, you should be the one making the final decision. Other people may make recommendations, and may even be right, but you’re the only one who can determine what will work best for you. Look at all the options before you decide on one so that whichever you choose is definitely money well spent.
